KAYAK QUESTIONS,
ANSWERED.
A quick guide to buying kayaks in Perth, with more help available from our Malaga team.
Where can I buy kayaks in Perth?
Kayak West sells kayaks online and from its Malaga location at 795 Marshall Road, Malaga WA 6090. The range includes fishing, pedal, recreational, junior and family kayaks. Contact the team before travelling if you want to view a particular model or colour.
How much does a kayak cost in Perth?
Kayak prices vary with size, build, drive system and included equipment. Kayak West currently advertises some entry-level fishing kayaks from $299 and selected pedal kayaks at higher prices. Check each linked product page for the latest price and inclusions.
What is the difference between a fishing kayak and a pedal kayak?
Fishing kayaks are configured for angling, often with rod holders and space for tackle. A pedal kayak uses a foot-powered propulsion system. Some pedal kayaks are also fishing kayaks, so compare features such as seating, drive system and storage.
Which kayak is best for a beginner?
For many beginners, a manageable recreational sit-on-top kayak is worth comparing first. Check its dimensions, weight, recommended use and maximum load, and choose a model suited to the water conditions you expect to paddle.
Do you sell double and family kayaks?
Yes. Kayak West lists multi-rider and family kayak models. Review the seating layout and combined weight capacity for each model, as a double kayak and a larger family kayak may have different limits.
Can I see a kayak before buying or collect it in Malaga?
Kayak West operates from 795 Marshall Road, Malaga. Contact the team on (08) 9248 2242 to check current stock, collection arrangements and the specific model you want to inspect.
